Brampton Chamber Choir

Welcome to our website, where you can find out all about Brampton Chamber Choir, who we are, the music we sing, where we perform and how to contact us.
Brampton Chamber Choir is based in Brampton, Cumbria, UK. We have around 25 singing members, and specialise in Early Music, particularly works from the Renaissance and Early Baroque. Usually we sing unaccompanied, but sometimes will perform with instrumentalists or chamber ensembles.
Our singers come from Brampton, Carlisle and Northumberland, and we perform regularly in Lanercost Priory, Brampton Methodist Church and St Martin’s Church , Brampton. We have also sung in churches across North Cumbria, as well as Carlisle and Lancaster Cathedrals.

Our next concert, the first under our new Musical Director, is Lanercost Priory on Saturday April 7th, and is called "This Joyful Eastertide." For details of the dates, times and places of all our concerts, please click here.

News from Brampton Chamber Choir:

Our new Musical Director is Dr Tamsin Jones.  Tamsin studied music at the universities of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Birmingham, and was awarded her PhD from the latter in 2000.  She returned to the UK in 2013 after a long period living in Japan, and has established herself in Cumbria as a singer and composer.  She is looking forward to taking up her role as Director of Music for Brampton Chamber Choir, and sharing her love of Early Music with us and our audiences.
